The Bargaining Committee met with the company about the “Have it your way” prescription plan and all of the issues employees have been dealing with. We have moved to a new plan that allows you to fill your prescriptions 90 days at a time through mail or your local pharmacy through ESN. Details below. Changes took effect March 1, 2024.
Extended Supply Network (ESN) for all plans
Members can fill up to a 90-day supply at a local, in-network pharmacy for improved access, choice,
convenience and flexibility on any medication prescribed for a 90-day fill
Advantages for members:
Adherence increases by 7-10% when prescriptions are filled for 90-days vs 30-days
Provides an option for members to fill a 90-day prescription OR 30-day prescription
Previously with 90 Day My Way only certain medications could be filled as a 90-day supply,
and it was required, not an option
When is this a good option?
Example: Allergy medications used seasonally, no need to fill 90-days, can fill for 30-days
since it is not required
Manufacturer coupons are still accepted
